On today's bonus episode, I'm going to be sharing my top 10 items that I go to Amazon to purchase. So we all know that Amazon is killing the game with their Prime membership. They have so many things that are included, such as free same day, sometimes two hour delivery, less than two hour delivery or two day delivery. They offer a range of different products. Basically, everything that you can imagine is sold on Amazon, right? So why do so many people shop Amazon? Well, amazon is an American multinational technology company which focuses on e-commerce, cloud computing and digital streaming. It has been referred to as one of the most influential economic and cultural forces in the world and it is one of the world's most valuable brands.

Amazon was founded by Jeff Bezos from his garage in Bellevue, washington, on July 5th of 1994. Initially, it was an online marketplace for books, but it then expanded into a multitude of product categories, which is a strategy that has earned it the moniker the everything store. It has multiple subsidiaries, including Amazon Web Services, zooks, which is for autonomous vehicles, which I didn't know, kiper Systems, which is a satellite internet again didn't know about that. Amazon Lab 126, computer Hardware and R&D, and then other subsidiaries include Ring, which we use I love, ring Twitch, which I use, imdb, which I use, mgm Holdings, which I use, and Whole Foods Markets, which I use. So you can tell that I love shopping on Amazon right. So, before I share my top 10, I went online to see what are the best selling categories on Amazon right now, in 2023. So, in order, the number one selling item on Amazon or category, excuse me are gift cards. Amazon gift cards are very popular, as you can load them with a desirable amount of money and give it to someone so they can have the freedom to buy whatever they want from Amazon. Now, not only does Amazon sell their own gift cards, but they have a variety of other merchant gift cards that you can buy. You can send digitally via email or text message, or you can get a physical card and give it to someone in person or via mail.

Number two category electronics. There is always an exciting category to explore with electronics because there's new products that are constantly being added. With the advancements in technology, that leads to the introduction of innovative electronic products that people are always on the lookout for. So Amazon has a lot of those different electronic products. Category number three is camera and photography. Cameras, along with photography equipment and other paraphernalia in this category, has room for a new seller's potential. It includes a wide range of products not dominated only by certain brands. So that includes home securities cameras. We just said ring earlier. We use our ring doorbell camera, binoculars, telescopes, baby monitor, portable lighting and camera stands.

Category number four video games, video games, video games video games Video games are played by kids, teens and adults, so I go to here for gift cards for the video games right. So they offer gift cards. They offer gaming headsets. If you break a controller and you need to replace it. Gaming mouse is control pads, gaming monitors. They even offer Category number five books.

There are so many great books on Amazon Paperback. You can do it on your Kindle, if you still have a Kindle, and listen to it by audio, but there's a wide variety of different books that Amazon sells, clothes, shoes and jewelry. There's always something for everyone in this category. Whatever you're looking for in this category Category seven beauty and personal care products Again, everything from skincare, hair care, nail care, oral hygiene you cannot find it all on Amazon. Category number eight home and kitchen. Lots of home and kitchen bedding, furniture, cleaning supplies, heating supplies, cooling, air purifiers, dishes all kind of stuff you can buy in the home and kitchen area on Amazon. Number nine pet supplies. If you have a pet, a cat, a dog, whatever it may be, they have everything from Houses, pillows, bags for their poop, fish tanks, food, snacks so pets. And category number 10 is sports and outdoors. This includes any products associated with sports, both indoor and outdoor, fitness and all the related equipment. So fitness leggings, sweat rags, special goggles that you can use to go swimming, cups, motivational cups, water cups so many different things in that category. So that is the list for 2023 of the top 10 Categories of products that Amazon is currently selling.

Alright, so now you know what categories Amazon is selling and what their top 10 categories are. Now I'm gonna share my top 10 items. So these items I always go to Amazon for no other store. So why you wouldn't say no other store? If I can't find them on Amazon, which is very rare, then I may look somewhere else. But my number one item that I shop on Amazon for is Fitness gear fitness leggings, special tank tops, different color tank tops or fitness socks. So I always go to Amazon because they always have cool Fitness leggings from sellers all over the world with different designs. I mean, I like plain Colors as well, but I love different design fitness leggings, so I go there, to Amazon for that.

Any technology gadgets there's always something new out on the market that I'm trying to try for the podcast, for my fitness classes or just for everyday life. So I go to Amazon first. If my mouse dies or breaks, go to Amazon. Keyboards, go to Amazon. Lighting, go to Amazon. Headsets, go to Amazon. Next is vitamins and over the counter meds. Yes, I could drive down the street to Walgreens and get these same items, but there's always a deal on Amazon, especially if you buy in bulk and it lasts you longer for less money out of your pocket. So I always go to Amazon for vitamins and over the counter medications. Next, business supplies. So paper, ink, pens, pencils, shipping bags try to think of all the things we buy on Amazon for business Heat, transfer papers, all kind of different things. Amazon has deals and they even have an Amazon for business account. And something that I recently learned this year If you have a personal Amazon Prime account and you open an Amazon for business account, you can link those two accounts together and share the Prime membership, so you don't have to buy a separate Prime membership. So if you didn't know that, now you know.

Next, gift cards. We've talked about this earlier. Amazon is go-to for any gift cards because it's easy to buy. Like I said, you can send them digitally, you don't have to have them shipped to the person. And then there's a wide variety. Everybody shops on Amazon, so normally the Amazon gift cards are my go-to. Next is last minute gifts. You forget it's someone's birthday or anniversary or here's something and you wanna get a last minute gift. Whether you're delivering it in person or it's a digital gift Amazon got you, you can go on, find something really quick and have it shipped directly to that person within two days or less, depending on where it's going with your Prime membership.

Next is do-it-yourself items. This is mainly for the business or if I wanna try out new things. There's a lot of do-it-yourself kits that Amazon sells, such as tie-dye kits and other kits that you can just try at a low price if you just wanna see if you can do something or try it out without spending a lot of money going to other stores to buy these types of products. Next are large bibs. So our daughter has cerebral palsy, she does a lot of drooling and Amazon's the only place that I can find these big, large cloth bibs that aren't crazy expensive, so we always go there for her bibs. Another one is air filters. Yes, we can go to our local Walmart or fries, but again, we get more for our money by ordering the air filters in bulk from Amazon.

And last but not least is themed items. Being in the fitness world, we always have themed parties or themed classes or themed this, and even sometimes at work. Amazon is the go-to place for themes. You just type in the theme and it pulls up everything related to that theme Birthday parties at home, decorations, everything you could think of related to that theme. Amazon probably has it. So those are the top 10 items that I always go to Amazon for.

I love my Prime membership because not only does it include free shipping, next day shipping, overnight shipping, two-day shipping, same day sometimes we get things but they also partner with Whole Foods so we can get great grocery deals through Whole Foods. There is no Whole Foods that's close to us here in the West Valley, so now that Amazon has partnered with them, we can get items from Whole Foods and have them delivered to our home same day. So we love, love, love that about Amazon. And again, it's fast, it's quick, it's easy. Their customer service is great most of the time. Sometimes you know you got to go back and forth with them a little bit. Now I know people say, well, walmart has lower prices. Walmart does have lower prices on some things and I always get my groceries from Walmart. I have the Walmart Plus. But there are certain things that we like to get from Whole Foods, so we'll go through the Amazon website to get those. But everything else is normally Amazon. Unless Walmart has a better deal and we're getting more bang for our buck, we'll go to Walmart. So that has been my bonus episode sharing my top 10 items, the history of Amazon and the top 2023 Amazon category. So I hope you've enjoyed this bonus episode.
